“The prime minister should acquaint himself with the extensive environmental review undertaken by the U.S. State Department in establishing the evidence that led former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to reject the proposed pipeline. That review found that whenever the price of oil was low, new pipeline capacity would drive up production, pushing greenhouse gas emissions,” said Green Party Leader Elizabeth May. “With current WTI at $62, producing bitumen is a money-losing proposition. Whenever oil is below $80 a barrel, any new pipeline capacity drives up production at the very time we need sharp reductions in GHGs. As Canada faces the reality, as determined by the recent report of the Canadian Climate Institute, that we are now well off track to meet our Paris Agreement commitments, pressing the U.S. to reopen the possibility of fossil-fuel infrastructure is deeply disappointing.”

“Unless the promised so-called ‘climate competitive strategy’ is to win as many Fossil of the Day awards as possible at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, this suggestion must be repudiated by the PMO,” added May.

The Green Party asserts that reviving Keystone XL today would mean resuscitating a stranded asset in a shrinking market. Global demand for new oil-sands export capacity is falling while renewable energy is surging. This year, for the first time, renewable power sources together generated more electricity worldwide than coal. Canada would do well to learn from the example of Spain, which embraced wind and solar early, and now enjoys some of the lowest electricity prices in Europe.

Building new pipelines in this context is not an energy strategy; it is an economic throwback. The path to genuine competitiveness lies in clean-energy investment, not in reheating a pipeline proposal that failed every test of climate responsibility, market viability, and public consent.

Green Party announces results of leadership review https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/green-party-announces-results-of-leadership-review Wed, 01 Oct 2025 11:00:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=20378 OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada has conducted a leadership review of current leader Elizabeth May. This leadership review was required by the party’s constitution even though Ms. May has already announced she will step down as soon as a new leader (or co-leaders) is elected through a leadership race. Voting took place from September 15 to September 30.

The results are in, with 80.8 percent of those who voted supporting Ms. May’s continued leadership. The party’s constitution requires at least 60 percent support.

“I am humbled by this vote of confidence,” said Ms. May. “Back in 2006, when I was first elected leader, I received the votes of 60% of the membership. Having stepped away from this role in 2019 and returning in 2022, this level of support, at over 80%, is very heartening. As the party prepares for the upcoming leadership race, knowing this is my last review by our membership, I am grateful to take my leave on a high note!”

Greens in Full Solidarity with CUPW as Canada Post Workers Strike Over Unjust Transformation Plan https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/greens-in-full-solidarity-with-cupw-as-canada-post-workers-strike-over-unjust-transformation-plan Fri, 26 Sep 2025 17:59:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=20374 OTTAWA — The Green Party of Canada stands in full solidarity with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and Canada Post workers as they commence a nationwide strike in response to the federal government’s unilateral transformation directive. These reforms, pushed through without the consent of workers, threaten door-to-door delivery, rural post offices, service standards, and democratic collective bargaining.

These changes are presented by Canada Post and the government as a necessary transformation, following recommendations from the Industrial Inquiry Commission. However, CUPW says its creative and forward-looking proposals were never seriously considered. The government’s approach bypasses negotiation, implementing management requests by decree. As a result, Canada Post workers and CUPW have enacted an immediate strike.

“We agree the current business plan for Canada Port is financially unworkable,” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada. “That is the fault of management, as it consistently ignores advice from CUPW to provide new revenue sources for Canada Post. We need to use the distributed network of Canada Post offices and workers to provide much needed services, such as postal banking, insurance, and providing wellness checks for the frail and isolated in times of crisis; replacing services the private sector has withdrawn.”

“Postal workers are essential to our communities,” May emphasised. “They deserve more than imposed directives, they deserve respect at the bargaining table. This strike should be a turning point for the Carney government to engage in genuine negotiation, adopt CUPW’s forward-thinking proposals, and guarantee that rural, northern, and disabled Canadians are not left behind.”

The Green Party of Canada is deeply concerned about how these changes will affect the most vulnerable regions and populations. Residents in rural and northern communities, who already face challenges receiving mail, may encounter increased barriers or impractical travel to reach community mailboxes. Imposing community mailboxes or cutting local post offices will intensify inequality in access. People with disabilities or mobility challenges could lose reliable home delivery as the default option if robust protections are not maintained. Small communities that rely on their local post office as a hub for communication risk becoming collateral damage in this top-down policy shift.

“Canada Post represents one of the last truly public institutions connecting all Canadians. Undermining its reach does not just affect workers, it harms every community that depends on it across the country, leaving our most vulnerable regions further isolated,” May continued.

The Green Party applauds the courage of postal workers who are defending not only their own rights, but the rights of all Canadians to reliable, democratic public infrastructure. We urge the government to seriously consider CUPW’s forward-thinking proposals and support a resolution founded on justice, accountability, and sustainable service.

Mike Morrice first candidate confirmed for federal Greens https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/mike-morrice-first-candidate-confirmed-for-federal-greens Tue, 23 Sep 2025 15:07:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=20376 Kitchener, ON – After an unprecedented summer of fundraising, Mike Morrice is already gearing up for the next federal election, whenever one may be called.

“We were only just getting started – and now more than ever, we still have so much more to fight for,” said Morrice. “I feel so affirmed and supported by countless people who have reached out to see how they can help. I still have the fire in my belly, and I know the sooner we start, the stronger we’ll be.”

Federal Kitchener Centre Greens increased their number of monthly donors by 20 times over the summer, with volunteers already organizing to ensure Morrice can hear from every constituent over the coming months.

After an uncontested nomination process, Morrice is the first candidate confirmed by the Green Party of Canada.

“I could not be more pleased and proud to know that one of the best MPs in Canadian history – Mike Morrice – will be back in the House as MP for Kitchener Centre. Mike is the first nominated Green for the next election. I hope to be the second!” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada.

Morrice was first elected in 2021 and represented Kitchener Centre until the federal election earlier this year. He became known nationally for his work to both fast-track and improve the Canada Disability Benefit which started rolling out to Canadians with disabilities in July.

Morrice was less than 400 votes away from keeping his seat, in a national election that saw most ridings go to Conservative or Liberal candidates.

Green Party Calls for Urgent Action as Canada Falls Behind 2030 Climate Goal https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/canada-falls-behind-2030-climate-goal Thu, 18 Sep 2025 18:13:23 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19979 OTTAWA — The Green Party of Canada is gravely concerned by the findings of Canada’s 2024 Climate Report Card, which confirm that Canada is not on track to meet its legally binding 2030 emissions reduction target of 40–45% below 2005 levels.

“Canada made a legally binding commitment to cut emissions by almost half by 2030. Today’s findings from the Canadian Climate Institute (CCI) show we are failing to deliver,” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada. “That failure is not just a political disappointment. It is a legal breach and a moral betrayal of future generations.”

When the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was adopted in 1992, all reductions were to be measured against 1990 levels. In 1990, Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions were 589 megatonnes. By 2005—Canada’s chosen baseline year for its Paris targets—emissions had risen to 759 megatonnes. According to the Canadian Climate Institute’s 2024 report, emissions now stand at 694 megatonnes. That means Canada is still well above 1990 levels, even as many European countries have cut their emissions more than 50% below 1990.

The Green Party is calling on the federal government to immediately reinforce its climate plan to ensure Canada meets its 2030 target. Falling short will undermine Canada’s credibility, worsen climate impacts already devastating communities, and increase the costs of inaction.

The Green Party is urging the government to:

  • Accelerate emissions reductions now by ending fossil fuel subsidies, and scaling up renewable energy.
  • Legislate enforceable implementation plans with clear, sector-by-sector pathways to 2030, backed by accountability mechanisms and penalties for missed milestones.
  • Ensure a just transition by respecting Indigenous rights and guaranteeing that vulnerable communities share equitably in the benefits of the energy transition.
  • Invest in resilience by strengthening disaster preparedness, infrastructure, and public health systems to protect Canadians from escalating climate impacts.

The Green Party is also deeply concerned by the Carney government’s failure, so far, to introduce new climate legislation to replace the critical measures it has repealed. Weakening existing climate measures reconfirms Canada’s record as a climate villain. As one of the world’s major polluters, we know every fraction of a degree we avoid in global temperature rise will save millions of lives—here and around the world. We are out of time for compromise and appeasement.

“Canada has missed every climate target it has ever set. We cannot afford to miss 2030,” said May. “The government must act with the urgency science demands and the law requires. Canadians deserve nothing less.”

Elizabeth May and Senator Marilou McPhedran call for expanding Canada’s voting age to 16, warn against backsliding on gender equity https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/expanding-canadas-voting-age-to-16 Wed, 17 Sep 2025 17:30:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19952 OTTAWA — Green Party Leader Elizabeth May and Independent Senator Marilou McPhedran held a joint press conference today, emphasizing a new way to do politics forged in common values and highlighting their shared legislative priorities for the fall parliamentary session with a particular focus on youth rights, democratic participation, and gender equity.

At the centre of their collaboration is Bill S-222, introduced by Senator McPhedran, which would expand the federal voting age from 18 to 16. The bill would also allow 14- and 15-year-olds to pre-register with Elections Canada to ensure they are ready to cast their first ballot at 16.

“My priority from the very beginning has been to introduce a bill to expand voting rights in Canada to include 16- and 17-year-olds, and to allow 14- and 15-year-olds to register their intention to vote at 16,” said Senator McPhedran. “A national campaign has been building, and young leaders across the country have made this a top priority. There are no guarantees in Parliament, but my most immediate goal is to get this bill to committee hearings so that young Canadians themselves can show why expanding voting rights makes sense.”

Elizabeth May, who in previous parliaments has introduced similar legislation in the House of Commons, will sponsor the bill when it comes to the House. May emphasized the democratic benefits of voting earlier. “Research shows that if you don’t vote at your first opportunity, you’re unlikely to vote at your second or third,” she said. “Voting at 16 increases the likelihood that young people will start their voting life while they are rooted in their home community. At 16 you can drive a car, you can work and pay taxes. It makes sense that you should also be able to vote.”

Both parliamentarians also raised alarms about gender equity under the Carney government.

“We’re seeing a real pattern here with Prime Minister Carney, with the troika of white corporate men who are now at the peak of government,” said Senator McPhedran. “It is not a good look for this new government, especially when we already barely have 30% women in the House of Commons, and when funding for Women and Gender Equality is projected to be cut by 80%.”

Elizabeth May tied this warning to a broader concern about democratic backsliding. “We are at a dangerous crossroads for liberal democracies around the world,” she said. “Events in the U.S. show how quickly rights can be eroded. Canada must not follow that path. If women are not at the table, if youth are not factored into key decision-making, there is a squandering of our future.”

The bill will be debated in the Senate this fall. If adopted, May has committed to taking sponsorship in the House of Commons.

Elizabeth May outlines parliamentary priorities as House resumes https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/elizabeth-may-outlines-parliamentary-priorities-as-house-resumes Mon, 15 Sep 2025 14:01:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19924 OTTAWA – As Parliament resumes, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May has outlined a set of priorities that she says are urgent for Canada’s future — from climate accountability to digital rights, privacy, fair taxation, and justice in Palestine.

“Canadians expect their government to defend our rights, our democracy, and our planet,” said May. “Instead, we see a government retreating from climate commitments, caving to U.S. pressure, and eroding our privacy. The Green Party will not stay silent.”

On climate change, May warned that Prime Minister Carney’s refusal to confirm Canada’s legally binding Paris Agreement targets is “dangerous and irresponsible,” adding that weakening the country’s commitments would put Canada in violation of international law. “Canada’s climate commitments are not a bargaining chip,” she said. “They are legally binding, and they are a lifeline. The atmosphere doesn’t negotiate. We must meet, and strengthen, our targets, not walk away from them.”

She also pledged to fight Bill C-2, the government’s so-called “Strong Borders Act,” which grants sweeping new surveillance powers and restricts refugee rights. “Canadians don’t need a surveillance state to have safe borders,” May said. “Bill C-2 trades away our privacy and our sovereignty. It must be scrapped and replaced with targeted, Charter-proof legislation that actually keeps people safe.”

On Bill C-4, May condemned the provisions buried in the bill that exempt political parties from federal and provincial privacy laws, retroactive to 2000. “Canadians deserve privacy rights that apply to everyone, including political parties,” she said. “Sneaking in a retroactive exemption is an assault on trust in our democracy, and these provisions must be removed.”

Turning to taxation, May criticized the Carney government’s decision to repeal the Digital Services Tax under U.S. pressure. The tax would have raised more than $7 billion over five years by requiring global tech giants like Google, Meta, Amazon, and Apple to pay on their Canadian revenues. “Big Tech shouldn’t get a free ride in Canada,” she said. “The Digital Services Tax makes them pay their fair share, and repealing it under U.S. pressure is a betrayal of Canadian sovereignty.” She noted that Canada is not alone in this effort; countries such as France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom have already put digital services taxes in place.

Finally, May will urge Canadian Parliamentarians to follow the example of the Scottish Parliament, which recently voted to halt public funding for companies that supply weapons to Israel, end trade privileges linked to the occupation, and direct resources toward humanitarian support for the people of Gaza.

Carney’s “nation-building” projects put foreign corporations ahead of Canadians https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/carneys-nation-building-projects Thu, 11 Sep 2025 20:35:58 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19879 OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada expressed deep disappointment today in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s list of five fast-tracked “nation-building” projects.

“Canadians were told this government would deliver projects in the national interest,” said Green Party Leader Elizabeth May. “Instead, we see a list that enriches foreign shareholders while leaving Canadians with higher energy costs and more climate pollution. One of the criteria in Bill C-5 should be that companies are majority Canadian-owned. Instead, there are no criteria at all—only a cabinet stamp of approval.”

LNG Canada expansion

LNG Canada has no Canadian ownership. The project sits in Haisla Nation territory, with the Nation participating through related business partnerships, but the profits flow overwhelmingly to the five foreign corporations that own it: Shell, PETRONAS, PetroChina, Mitsubishi and KOGAS.

Expanding LNG will push Canada further off track on climate. Fracking for gas releases huge amounts of methane, a greenhouse gas over 80 times more damaging than carbon dioxide in the first 20 years. Studies show methane leaks from Canada’s fossil fuel sector are far higher than government reports admit, erasing the claim that LNG is “cleaner” than coal.

Montreal Port Expansion

The inclusion of the Port of Montreal expansion at Contrecoeur raises serious environmental, governance and sovereignty concerns. The project would destroy critical habitat for the endangered copper redhorse fish, one of the most at-risk species in Quebec. It is also being developed in partnership with DP World, a company controlled by the authoritarian regime of Dubai. That means one of the largest industrial projects on the St. Lawrence in decades will be designed and operated by a foreign state-owned enterprise.

Meanwhile, the Centre québécois du droit de l’environnement (CQDE) has launched legal action to challenge the constitutionality of Bill C-5, the law Carney is using to fast-track these projects. The CQDE warns that Bill C-5 strips away environmental protections and allows the federal cabinet to override scientific advice, creating a system of arbitrary decision-making.

“Quebecers have been clear that they reject Ottawa’s attempt to trample environmental protections,” said May. “This project is a textbook example of how Bill C-5 concentrates power in cabinet, weakens democratic oversight and puts our natural heritage in jeopardy.”

Several First Nations in Ontario are already challenging the legality of Bill C-5, arguing that it strips away environmental protections and undermines their constitutional right to be consulted on projects that affect their lands and waters.

Darlington nuclear project

The Darlington small nuclear reactor project has a projected cost of more than $20 billion, making it one of the most expensive energy projects in Canadian history. Prior to being added to the Major Projects Office list the project was already approved and had received a $975-million low-interest loan from the Canada Infrastructure Bank, the single largest public subsidy for an SMR in Canada. Although Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is the proponent, major contracts have gone to multinational corporations with substantial foreign ownership, including U.S.-based GE Hitachi and Kiewit.

“This project diverts resources from faster, cheaper clean energy options,” said May. “SMR technology remains theoretical. There are no small modular reactors producing electricity anywhere in the world.”

What real nation-building looks like

The Green Party argues that true nation-building projects are those that strengthen Canadian sovereignty and cut emissions, not those that expand fossil fuel exports. Recent national polling backs this view:

  • Two thirds of Canadians say they would choose clean-energy projects over oil and gas development  according to a June 2025 Abacus Data survey commissioned by Clean Energy Canada.
  • The same Abacus survey found 85% of Canadians want federal climate action maintained or increased.

“Imagine if we committed to a coast-to-coast clean energy grid,” said May. “That would lower energy costs for households, attract new industries, and help Canada meet its climate obligations. That is the kind of nation-building Canadians actually want.”

The Green Party is calling on the federal government to redirect its infrastructure program toward projects that keep wealth and decision-making in Canada: renewable power generation, an interconnected electricity grid, efficient public transit and climate-resilient infrastructure.

Mike Morrice confirms he will run in next federal election https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/mike-morrice-confirms-he-will-run Tue, 09 Sep 2025 16:23:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19966 Kitchener, ON – Mike Morrice, recent Member of Parliament for Kitchener Centre, has announced he will run to represent his community again, whenever the next federal election is called.

“I can’t think of a better way to serve my community than to continue advocating for our priorities and shared concerns in Ottawa,” said Morrice, who was first elected in 2021 and represented the riding until the federal election earlier this year.

Morrice became known as a champion for housing, climate, and affordability, including his leadership to both improve and implement the Canada Disability Benefit, which started rolling out to Canadians with disabilities in July.

“From being able to influence a new income supplement that will help tens of thousands of Canadians living in poverty, to successfully proposing new ideas to make life more affordable for people in our community – I was so honoured to represent our neighbours, and hope to be able to keep making progress on the issues that are most important to them.”

Morrice was less than 400 votes away from keeping his seat, in a national election that saw most ridings go to Conservative or Liberal candidates.

“We were only just getting started. From tackling rising grocery prices to securing more affordable housing and a safe climate future for our kids, we still have so much more to fight for,” said Morrice. “I feel so affirmed and supported by countless people who have reached out to see how they can help this time around. I still have the fire in my belly, and I know the sooner we start, the stronger we’ll be.”

Greens Demand Halt to $24B Nuclear Contract with U.S. Firms Until Audit Completed https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/greens-demand-halt-to-24b-nuclear-contract Mon, 08 Sep 2025 15:05:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19844 OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada is calling on the federal government to stop a multi-billion-dollar contract that would hand control of Canada’s nuclear laboratories to a consortium of U.S. corporations.

The deal, worth more than $24 billion over 20 years, would be the largest federal contract in Canadian history. It would see Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) managed by “Nuclear Laboratories Partners of Canada” — a consortium led by U.S. companies that already operate American nuclear weapons facilities. At a time when Canada–U.S. relations are strained by tariffs and trade disputes, critics argue it is especially troubling to see American corporations positioned to reap billions from Canada’s nuclear assets while Canadians shoulder the risks.

Green Party MP Elizabeth May (Saanich–Gulf Islands) sponsored House of Commons petition e-6636, initiated by scientist and activist Ole Hendrickson, which calls for an independent audit by the Auditor General before any new contract is signed. The petition, which has nearly 2000 signatures, closes today and will now await a government response.

“Canadians deserve transparency when billions of their tax dollars are on the line,” said May. “Before handing over our nuclear laboratories to foreign contractors, Parliament must demand an independent audit of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. We must not let decisions that affect our health, safety, and environment be made behind closed doors.”

Concerns about governance failures in Canada’s nuclear sector are longstanding. A coalition of environmental and civil society groups has warned that Canada is the only OECD country to leave decisions on nuclear waste disposal entirely in the hands of its regulator, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission — a body repeatedly accused of regulatory capture.

Under current proposals, CNL plans to bury a million tonnes of radioactive waste beside the Ottawa River and entomb defunct reactors in concrete at sites in Ontario and Manitoba. Municipalities, Indigenous nations, and independent experts have condemned these projects as dangerous violations of international safety standards that could contaminate drinking water for generations.

The Green Party is urging the government to respect the petition’s call: no new contract should be issued until a full, independent audit is completed, its findings made public, and Parliament has debated the results.

“Canada must manage radioactive waste with the highest standards of safety and accountability,” May said. “Instead of outsourcing responsibility to foreign corporations, our government must step up and protect Canadians and our environment for generations to come.”

Green Party Comments on Carney’s Climate Intentions: Repealing, Not Leading https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/carneys-climate-intentions Mon, 08 Sep 2025 13:58:00 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19833 OTTAWA—What do Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first 100 days tell us about his climate intentions? The answer was made clear in today’s industrial strategy announcement: repeal without replacement.

At his press conference, Carney confirmed his plan to pause the electric vehicle (EV) mandate, while providing no replacement policy to keep Canada on track toward decarbonization. This decision adds to Carney’s rapidly growing list of climate rollbacks like his decision to scrap the consumer carbon price, a meaningful tool for reducing emissions.

Further compounding these concerns was Carney’s Speech from the Throne, which failed to mention Canada’s Paris Agreement targets. At a moment when floods, heatwaves, and wildfires are devastating communities, Canadians need bold climate leadership, not omissions and repeals.

The Green Party of Canada is calling on Mark Carney to take a page from his own book, Value(s): Building a Better World for All. In it, Carney clearly identified the climate emergency as one of the most existential threats of our time and signaled the urgent need for decisive, collective action. Yet as Prime Minister, he has abandoned that conviction, spending his time dismantling climate policies instead of strengthening them.

“Carney’s first hundred days show us clearly that he is rolling back climate action at every turn. Scrapping the carbon price, dismantling legislation, cancelling the EV mandate, these are not the decisions of a leader serious about the climate emergency,” said Elizabeth May, MP for Saanich – Gulf Islands and Leader of the Green Party of Canada.

The Green Party is calling on the government to reverse course and deliver the climate leadership Canadians need: a transparent and science-based climate budget, a firm and ambitious zero-emissions vehicle mandate, and bold policies that restore Canada’s path to meeting—and exceeding—our Paris commitments.

“The Prime Minister knows what needs to be done, he wrote about it in his own book. It’s time he acted on those words. Canadians need a government that recognizes we are out of time for delays, half-measures, and reversals. The climate crisis demands bold, science-based action. Anything less is failure,” May continued.

Canada cannot afford to go backwards. The Green Party will continue to fight for urgent, decisive action that matches the scale of the climate crisis and secures a livable future for generations to come.

Greens denounce government’s trampling of workers’ rights in Air Canada dispute https://www.greenparty.ca/en/news/trampling-of-workers-rights-in-air-canada-dispute Sun, 17 Aug 2025 18:59:52 +0000 https://www.greenparty.ca/?post_type=article&p=19486 OTTAWA — The Green Party of Canada is calling out the Liberal government for siding with Air Canada executives and forcing flight attendants back to work through binding arbitration after today’s strike action.

More than 10,000 flight attendants represented by CUPE walked off the job after nearly eight months of stalled negotiations. Workers have endured years of sacrifice, including wage cuts and lost vacation time during Air Canada’s financial crises, while executives now collect millions in compensation. Within hours of the strike, Labour Minister Patty Hajdu ordered the Canada Industrial Relations Board to impose arbitration, effectively stripping workers of their right to strike.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said this action violates fundamental rights protected by the Charter. “When Air Canada was on the brink, it was flight attendants and other workers who kept the airline alive. Now those same workers are told their voices don’t matter. This is not the Canada we believe in—workers have the right to fair bargaining without being silenced by corporate power and government convenience.”

The Greens are urging Air Canada to return to the table in good faith, restore what was taken from workers, and respect the rights of those who keep the airline flying.
